Important notes:

A teacher must register a youth student for this festival.

Entries must be submitted via US Mail

Both the COMPETITIVE and the NON COMPETITIVE ENTRIES MUST BE POSTMARKED ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 25, 2025 including the entry fee.

ORIGINAL COMPOSITION entries must be submitted separately - postmark the registration form and fee by OCTOBER 15, 2025 - include an email, and instructions for virtual submission will be sent to that email upon receipt of registration information/fee.

In that email include your name, your US Mailing address.

Please note - as is stated elsewhere (many times) on this site and form, a TEACHER must enter a student - no exceptions.

It is essential that the TEACHER submit entry forms.

Teachers must: Identify your US Mail address, email address, phone number, and indicate whether or not you may receive texts.

Teachers must: Sign the form to indicate that you have read and understand the rules and festival policies.

Fees vary depending upon the category of entry. Please note that on the entry form.

Student information: Since there are several categories, please indicate clearly the student & what they will be “submitting”.

Category options include COMPOSITION (MUST BE SUBMITTED BY October 15 PLEASE)

NON COMPETITIVE PERFORMANCE (POSTMARK THESE ENTRIES BY OCTOBER 25 PLEASE - $30 fee - Solo Piano or Small Ensemble, must include at least 1 work from the Anna Magdalena Bach notebook.)

COMPETITIVE PERFORMANCE (POSTMARK THESE ENTRIES BY OCTOBER 25 PLEASE - Options include: Solo Keyboard 2 contrast works; Solo Keyboard 2 movements form Anna Magdalena Bach Notebook; Solo Keyboard JS Bach Prelude / Invention / Sinfonia / or Prelude and Fugue set; or Toccata; or 20th century and Contemporary repertoire that has in its historical origin a reference or situation in Baroque era idioms / repertoire.

SMALL ENSEMBLE OPTIONS - May be competitive, or non competitive. All small ensembles must include a keyboard performer.

AS WITH ALL ENTRIES FOR THIS FESTIVAL - WE HAVE CHAMPIONED THE BAROQUE AS A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION FOR THE ELABORATION OF PERFORMANCE PRACTICE FOR KEYBOARD / PIANO SOLO AND/OR SMALL (up to 4 piece) ENSEMBLE PERFORMANCE.
