Studio Share Madison is your place for private music lessons.

Studio Share Madison, founded in 2023 by Shad Wenzlaff, came about from a known need in Dane County - one for additional, high-quality space for private music instruction. Studio Share Madison meets this need with a central (near-West Madison) location, multiple private studio offerings appropriate for a variety of lesson types, excellent acoustics, professionally-maintained pianos, and space for lessons as well as performance. Individual musicians also enjoy using the private studios for practicing and personal enjoyment. Studio Share is set up to be enjoyed by acoustic instrumentalists, pianists, vocalists, small ensembles, and amateur or professional music groups and clubs.

For professional music instructors, Studio Share Madison offers convenience - saving instructors the time of having to drive between student homes for lessons, and saving instructors the space required were they to offer lessons in their own home. Studio Share Madison also offers instructors the independence of not needing to be employed by a third party; this is the place for instructors who want to run their own studio and simply need a professional space to do so.

Studio Share Madison offers premium studios for a variety of acoustic instrumentalists. As an independent studio teacher, you control your own schedule, manage your studio policies (choose for yourself when you will offer a group class, or a makeup lesson, for instance), and manage your own tuition and fee structure that matches your skillset and expertise. Studio Share Madison provides the shared space, including:

  • Free and ample parking

  • A child- and adult-friendly shared waiting room/lobby that feels like a clean and comfortable living room

  • Private all-gender restroom

  • Access to wi-fi for instructors, students, and guests

Our business model makes all of this affordable as well as student/teacher-centric.
